First Round Of "COP" Program Awards Announced In Capital Region

Attorney General Schneiderman announced the first round of funding for law-enforcement agencies that applied to his office’s Community Overdose Prevention (COP) program, which will equip of all New York law-enforcement officers with naloxone, the extremely effective heroin overdose antidote. The Attorney General was joined by Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy, State Senator Cecilia Tkaczyk, Assemblymember Patricia Fahy, Guilderland Town Supervisor Ken Reunion and the Guilderland Police Department. Dr. Donald Doynow also demonstrated the administration of the antidote.
