It is recommended that during this holiday season you consider the following:

  1. Purses, wallets and checkbooks should never be left unattended in shopping carts , dressing rooms, or on coat racks;

  2. Secure valuables in the trunk of your car while patronizing shopping malls or local businesses;

  3. While at work, place personal valuables in a locking desk or cabinet; and

  4. Extra attention should be given when in a congested area such as a shopping malls, sidewalks or while on mass transit. It is especially important to remain vigilant while riding the train, subway or buses; walking in crowds; or inside a crowded elevator.

An increase in awareness of security issues will help to make this year's Holiday Season a happy, safe, and peaceful time.
